ZOJIRUSHI CENTRAL

Hello. We are Zojirushi.

Then there was Zojirushi.

Then there was Zojirushi.

Blindingly fast technology. New today, old tomorrow. Our world as we know it.
But Zojirushi is constant. Zojirushi stays relevant. Zojirushi still matters.
Because we evolve.

  • 1970

What happens to rice after it cooks? Eventually it gets cold and hard, that’s what. Zojirushi decided to change that. We marketed a Rice Warmer that could keep rice tasting deliciously, perfectly warm.

  • 1974

Cooking rice was still a tedious task, so Zojirushi decided to change that. Our all-electric Rice Cooker & Warmer made the rice, kept it warm, and maximized the taste of rice even more.

  • 1983

Rice cooker, meet the microchip. Zojirushi gets into the computer age by taking out the guesswork from making rice. No need to be an expert , the Micom Rice Cooker & Warmer does it all for you.

  • 1992

Harnessing the heat. We discover that Induction Heating (IH) can be precisely controlled to fine tune the heat during the cooking process. Paired with MICOM, a new age of more delicious rice is introduced.

  • 1996

Can we top ourselves? Of course. Our Pressure IH Rice Cooker & Warmer brings high pressure into the picture, which can transform the composition of rice. Plumper, sweeter and fluffier with more umami.

  • NOW

What’s on our menu today? The menus on our rice cookers keep evolving because we continue researching world cultures. We continue to find ways to improve the natural deliciousness of rice.

Baking bread at home is rewarding, but also time consuming. The kneading, rising and baking is a process. We introduced our Home Bakery Breadmaker to bake fresh bread at the touch of a button.

  • 1997

What if I want a loaf like you get at the market? We answered that call with a breadmaker that has dual kneading blades to bake a horizontal 2- lb. loaf, just like the kind you get at the bakery!

  • 2011

More bread, better bread! Our Home Bakery Virtuoso® Breadmaker has heaters built into the lid, eliminating uneven baking. And with a variety of menu settings, it’s a true home bakery with so many choices.

With roots in the manufacturing of vacuum bottles, Zojirushi launches the Pelican Pot, a hot water carafe that was adored for its resemblance to a pelican. Since then, our product development has never stopped.

  • 1973

Can’t we make it easier to dispense hot water without the lifting and pouring? The Zojirushi Air Pot® Dispenser could do this with a pump-activated button on the lid. Our innovation was just getting started.

  • 1989

Our next logical innovation was to electrify the pump, so our Electric Water Boiler & Warmer was introduced--able to boil, keep warm and dispense the water with one touch of a button.

  • 1998

To take advantage of our insulated vacuum technology, we developed the VE® Hybrid Water Boiler & Warmer, a greener way to conserve energy while heating and keeping the water warm.

  • 2001

With the wide use of water boilers everywhere, the Mimamori Hot Line service was a joint collaboration with other companies to stay in touch with their elderly and rural consumers. (Japan only)

For Japanese, the center of the family is at the dining table. Zojirushi took that idea to heart and developed the Electric Hot Plate so families could cook teppanyaki, with everyone cooking and eating at the table.

  • 1981

Continuing with the dining table cooking theme, we introduced our Electric Skillet so families could have hot pot style meals at home, the perfect dish, as gatherings at home start to gain in popularity.

  • 1985

After mastering the hot pot, we went to the BBQ and brought the outdoor grill inside to the dining table. Another popular dish, yakiniku, can now be enjoyed by everyone at home.

  • 1989

Zojirushi introduces countertop baking with our Electric Micom Toaster Oven, a precision microchip appliance that controls the heating process when baking, making it easier to make dishes in less time.

  • 1989

Cooking fish causes unwanted smoke. To solve that problem, our Electric Fish Roaster utilizes a filter and electric heater to create a smokeless roaster that still preserves the taste of the fish.

  • 2014

We wanted to offer more ways to cook more kinds of food. Our Electric Multi Cooker can slow cook, fry and stew with a variety of menu choices so there’s almost nothing it can’t do. It can even make yogurt!

Our first entry into insulated drink bottles was the Tuff Boy, with a sturdy inner liner made of stainless steel. Unlike glass liners, there was less chance of breakage so it could be brought anywhere outdoors.

  • 1989

The next generation of the Tuff Boy came with a wave of colors. It came with a sense of fashion and personality that appealed to everyone, who could now bring their drinks everywhere in a colorful style.

  • 1998

The Tuff Super Slim gets a new body and more convenience. Instead of carrying your drink on your shoulder, you can now slip it into your bag. This shift in focus created a new generation of drink bottles.

  • 2009

We started revolutionizing our lids. The Flip-Open Stainless Mug allows one-handed opening and closing with a touch, making it the fastest way to get a drink ever. Once again, Zojirushi thinks quicker.

  • NOW

Zojirushi has started developing tumblers, continuing to expand our line of drink products for our thirsty consumers who want convenience, fun and style. We know the importance of hydration; of course.
